Email:xiaodongzhang@tju.edu.cn

Brief Introduction:

Prof. Zhang joined Tianjin University as in 2016. He received his Ph.D. from Tianjin University and achieve postdoc research at Stanford University in Prof. Hongjie Dai's lab. His research interest involves in Biomaterials, Nanomedicine and NIR-II imaging. He is a Chief Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program of China. He was selected as the National Young Talent Program. He has been honored as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Analytics (2021) and an Elsevier Highly Cited Scholar (2020-2022) and revieved the Tianjin Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars Award.

Academic Achievements:

Prof. Zhang has long been engaged in biomaterials, nanobiomedicine and optical imaging. He proposed the concept of 'clusterzyme' to achieve efficient intervention in acute nerve trauma (Nat. Commun. 2021). His team constructed artificial enzyme sutures and gels that surpass the reaction affinity of natural enzymes to achieve the regulation of subacute neurotrauma (Nat. Commun. 2022). They discovered ultrafast artificial enzymes that achieve highly effective suppression of chronic neurotrauma and neurocognitive improvements. (Sci. Adv. 2021). In addition, bioactive NIR-II cluster were also designed to achieve efficient pathological monitoring (Matter 2024; Sci. Adv. 2023; Adv. Mater. 2019). Furthermore, a new generation of highly compatible artificial enzyme electrode was constructed to record high-resolution neural signals (Adv. Mater. 2024). Prof. Zhang has published more than 100 papers including Nature Communications, Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Coordination Chemistry Reviews, Pharmacological Sciences etc. The total citations exceeds 12,000, including 1 hot paper and 15 ESI Highly Cited papers.
